Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:
I have them play for me. We talk about their music background, what they're interested in learning, etc. Then I usually start them off with some basic chords and right hand strumming or finger-style patters (or basic pick technique). We go over proper position for the guitar, both hands, etc.
A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:
I usually give my students some technical exercises to strengthen their fingers. Then we learn songs or licks, or an element of acoustic guitar playing usually encapsulated in a song that incorporates those lessons.
