My teaching approach :

I am a classical guitarist with strong emphasis on technique. I get beginners started properly so they do not develop bad habits. With experienced & professional players I help them identify & correct problems or road blocks that appear to have limited their playing.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

I work closely with the student on accomplishing what ever their current task at hand is. We may do a series of reps on a chord change/scale or whatever. Basically I am like an athletic coach, showing students how to achieve that which eludes them.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

I have them play something for me, a song, a scale, or combination. I quickly ascertain their strengths & weaknesses, such as are they playing flat fingered, are their chord changes efficient, and like.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

A beginner or intermediate with a strong desire & love to play the instrument and play it well. One that realizes that work and dedication will pay off.

Fee Schedule :

$15.00 for half hour. $25.00 for full hour.

My cancellation/booking policy :

I prefer payment in advance for 4 lessons. That ensures that I WILL BE THERE. If you do not show, you do not get a refund. You are paying for me to be there FOR YOU.
