My teaching approach :
I base lessons completely around the student. I will find the direction that the student in interested in going and then advise a strategy. My primary occupation is operating a recording studio and producing musical acts. The lessons will take place in the recording studio where a very wide variety gear will be available to the students at all times.
A guitar lesson with me might entail the following
A general lesson will start with some conversation about musical interests and style preferences. Then I may offer suggestions about how many sessions of those interests were accomplished to set out the lesson plan. Then usually we would work on a song or two together. I would then assign some homework along the same lines to work out and bring back in the following week. There can be a wide variety of differences from client to client.
Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following
I will ask the student to play a couple of their favorite songs that they have been practicing. I work and have worked in music exclusively for quite some time now. I am able to assess where a player is in their development in a couple minutes.
The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following
My ideal student is one that is dedicated and does his/her homework! There is very little that I can teach if the student is not willing to put in the time and effort to do the work.
Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:
I am available 7 days a week to teach. I write my own schedule and am flexible.
