My teaching approach :

Aside from being a guitar instructor I also play and teach Piano, Drums, and Bass guitar. I've been studying and playing for over 14 years now. I play guitar and sing in a band. I use Marshall amps and I play Jackson, Ibanez, and Gibson guitars. I'm not one of those teachers who just gives their student a song every week. I teach students the mysteries of music. I use a number of programs like Guitar Pro, Power Tab, Finale Print, Garage Band, etc.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

The first half of a lesson with me we do warm up exercises, and focus on theory like learning scales, chords, arpeggios. We also work on timing, play speed drills with a metronome, learn notes, reading, progressions, licks, tricks, rudiments, picking, dynamics, ear training, games, rhythms, and technique. The second half of a lesson we work on songs, improvising, and soloing.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

If the student is just starting out we cover the basics but if they have been playing for a while I might have them play for me and quiz them to see where they're at and need to go musically.

Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:

Monday - Friday 12:00 - 8:00pm.

My influences are:

The bands who had the biggest influence on me growing up and made me want to pursue guitar were Metallica, Weezer, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Collective Soul, Pearl Jam, Ozzy, Iron Maiden, Yngwie Malmsteen, STP, The Cars, Children of Bodem, Jimi Hendrix, Racer X, Guns N' Roses, etc.

Fee Schedule :

The going rate is $20.00 for 30 minutes and $40.00 for an hour. If someone can't afford that I'm willing to work with them on finding a price they can afford. I also offer group lessons which are cheaper.

My cancellation/booking policy :

If a student needs to cancel a lessen he or she must let me know within 24 hours of the lesson. Or if possible we can reschedule the lesson.
