My teaching approach :

I have a degree in guitar (classical) performance from SUNY Fredonia and I am currently a masters student a Syracuse University. I have extensive experience teaching and performing verity of musical styles. Touring with both classical ensembles and rock bands has given me valuable insights into both the act of performing as well as the business aspect of being a musician.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

The most important goals are those of the student. I hope to use each lesson as a stepping stone towards those goals. Each lesson will cover technical as well as conceptual aspects of guitar playing. Theory and history are important tools of the trade so they will be reinforced with every lesson.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

The fist lesson is a usually more of a planning session. The student and I discuss their interests and concerns. This will allow the lessons to be structured for the students needs.

The ideal student is someone a passion for music and is willing to put in the practice time to improve themselves.

$40/hr $25/hr If the lesson takes place at the students home the price will need to be adjusted based on distance.
