My teaching approach :

Music Instructor Ken Wilson has been teaching guitar and other instruments in South Jersey for over 15 years. He currently teaches guitar, bass and drums. Ken enjoys taking personal fulfillment in his students’ progress. His comfortably structured approach and stylistic diversity relate well across a wide span of ages, personalities, and musical tastes. Students of all levels are encouraged to develop at their own pace whether their goals are academic/professional or just for personal enjoyment.

Lessons are structured to suit the level and goals of each individual student. Focus is placed on techinical development, theory and songs of the student's choice.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

Proper technique is important for progress. This includes posture with the guitar, pick grip, left hand fingering and more ...but there is so much to be covered! The ultimate objective is to determine what each student wishes to achieve and to develop a course on how to get there together.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

The ideal guitar student has a love for music, is eager to learn, and has the time and desire to practice and improve.

$25/half hour $45/hour
