My teaching approach :

I have performed professionally in bands and as a solo concert artist for 35 years, playing guitar (like Chet Atkins, for example), and banjo, along with vocals. I teach with a patient, relaxed style - to encourage the student. Usually, the student advises me what style he would like to learn, so every student receives a slightly different approach. Fee Schedule :

I charge $50.00 per hour. Lessons are usually an hour, but some students who drive a long distance often take 2 or 3 hour lessons. Some students cannot take a lesson every week, so I can be flexible and work around their schedule.

My cancellation/booking policy :

I try to book the student in for weekly lessons, but some working/family people find it difficult to appear weekly. There is no penalty for not taking weekly lessons, but I need at least 24 hours notice of cancellation to fill the time slot. Otherwise , a $25.00 penalty will be charged, and added to the next lesson.
