My teaching approach :

Lessons are tailored to the individual student. The goal is to have each student, "up and running" as soon as possible. Having performed as a solo artist and within a band context, I bring that practical experience along with my university training into each lessons. I bring that, along with my 20 years of teaching experience to help each student get to where they want to.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

The lessons are song based, or "piece" based. All technique and theory a student needs/wants to learn is incorporated as that student learns the songs or guitar pieces they choose.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

I try to get to know the student. I like to have them tell me their musical goals, what they like about about music, what appeals to them about the guitar.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

I don't have one. I believe every student can learn something about music and guitar.

Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:

Monday through Friday. 2:00pm - 8:00 p.m

My influences are:

I studied classical guitar with Tom Johnson at the University of North Texas, and jazz guitar with Jody Fisher in L.A. My guitar heroes are Barney Kessel, Wes Montgomery, John Williams, Steve Morse, Michael Hedges

Fee Schedule :

$40.00 per hour for beginning and intermediate students. $80.00 per hour for advanced.

My cancellation/booking policy :

24 hours both ways.
