My teaching approach :

I like to teach my beginning students chords, and then immediatly apply them to songs the student likes. I believe learning songs is the best way for students to learn and understand music. I prefer to teach acoustic guitar, as I believe it lends itself better to learning songs, especially for beginners. More advanced players can then incorporate the electric guitar into what we do.

Fee Schedule :

I charge $25 a half hour if I teach at Jensens music store, or I charge $40 for 45 minutes if I come to your home. I believe students get a better lesson when I come to their home, as they're usually more relaxed and it alleviates the stress and hassle of the student or their parents having to drive them to a lesson.

My cancellation/booking policy :

I ask for a month of payments to be paid on the first lesson of each month, which I believe makes students more commited to the lessons. I can accept a credit card payment if the lessons are done at the store, otherwise I can be paid by cash or check.
