My teaching approach :

I teach each student differently depending upon their skills and goals. I've performed as lead guitarist and bassist in many hundreds of live shows, and I teach students of all ages and skill levels all over San Diego county.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

Generally, I sit with my students and we make music together. I go over songs, the theory behind the songs, the leads involved, and I help my students sing and play at the same time. In addition, I help students develop their song writing skills.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

I sit and listen to what they can play, and to what they say they want to do, and I evaluate the development of the students ear with some questions of my own, and then we go from there.

I started off as a rock, then metal, then country, then jazz, then pop, then original guitar player. I've learned many more styles since then!

Fee Schedule :

I charge $40 per lesson, each lesson is at least one hour.

My cancellation/booking policy :

Just let me know if you can't make a lesson. There is no pre payment, or penalty, just be courteous and let me know you can't make a lesson.
