My teaching approach :

I am a UTSA graduate with a degree in music. At UTSA, the classical guitar is my primary instrument. I have been playing for 12 years and have taught friends for many years although I have a relatively short experience teaching as a profession. Sometimes learning the guitar can seem like a lot of work, but I teach the tools and technique that allow the student to play their favorite songs, which is always fun.

I start with assessing the coordination level by either something previously learned or a simple task. Then I will start with a simple exercise that builds coordination.

I am very flexible. I can make myself available for a new student.

My influences are:

All virtuoso guitarist. As a beginner, my influences were Pantera and Metallica. Now I look for innovative musicians from classical, progressive rock to hard rock. Now my biggest influence is Porcupine Tree.

Fee Schedule :

$30 per half hour and $40 per hour once a week.

My cancellation/booking policy :

I am pretty easy going with cancellations. Advanced cancellations are always encouraged.
