My teaching approach :

I want my students to learn what they want to learn and to have a lot of fun doing it. Each lesson will be individually tailored to a students desired goals. My job will be successful when a student is playing what they want to be able to play. The sky is the limit!

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

We will start with the basics that every guitar player must learn and then work to help the student become the best that they can be at whatever style of music they want to learn. Instead of having to learn boring songs like "Twinkle, twinkle little star," I'll choose songs that they like and want to learn. That way the lessons are more practical than theoretical.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

I will let the student take some time to show me what they already know about guitar. Then, we'll talk about the end results of what they envision for themselves and work out an individual plan of how we can get there.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

I'm willing to teach anyone that wants to learn regardless of skill level or musical ability. Ideally, the student would be willing to practice at home between lessons or it could take a VERY long time to get where they want to go. But I'm a flexible person with an easy-going attitude. I want the student to have fun.

Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:

Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays any time between 9:30am and 6:30pm.

My favorite genre is Christian and worship. I play guitar and lead a worship band at our church. However, I'm also a big fan of alternative and rock. I'm willing to teach many styles, however.

Fee Schedule :

$30 per hour or $15 for a half hour session.
