My teaching approach :

Every student is different. I assess each student based on their particular goals and aspirations and tailor a lesson plan based on that. I have my laptop loaded with thousands of songs from which to teach. I recommend bringing a recording device to capture the instruction for later understanding

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

Anything from warm-up exercises to strength and endurance building exercises to learning cool songs and learning basic music theory in a fun and enjoyable way!

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

I'll ask you what you want from lessons, the type of music you want to learn. I also ask for a song list of proposed songs to learn so I may get a better idea of your target sound.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

1) One who is not afraid of sounding bad or making a lot of mistakes and 2) Having a good practice ethic
