Good Day to You! I am a graduate of Musicians Institute Hollywood, California and am now based in Utah.I am offering guitar lessons to anyone above the age of 10 and also give private instruction as well as family and group lessons. My Bio:Quintin Louw, a native of Johannesburg, South Africa, has traveled the world learning, playing and recording music. He toured South Africa with his band 'Mrs. B' before making his way to the ' Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT) at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. He studied under such greats as Dan Gilbert, Paul Gilbert, Scott Henderson, and Ken Steiger and has been influenced by players including Andy Timmons, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Jimi Hendrix. Shortly after Graduation, Quintin was invited to work with Eternity Guitars at the NAMM show 2008 where he got to rub shoulders with some of the industries finest musicians including Slash, Dragon Force, and George Benson. His travels then took him to beautiful Utah where he taught an average of 60 students per week at 'The Music School' American Fork. Teaching at the school for just over a year, his highlights included receiving the instructor of the month award and having his band he coached at Jam Camp 2008 in Park City, win the battle of the bands. Here he got to share the stage and work alongside Neil Zazza, Bobby Rock, Corey Christiansen, Jeff Coffin (Dave Mathews, Bela Fleck), Brian Bromberg (Steely Dan) and Virgil Donati (Steve Vai). Quintin is passionate about the guitar, music and guitar instruction. Special interests in guitar studies include Modal Improvisation, Melodic Rock Soloing, and Theory.
