My teaching approach :

Rod lives in Phoenix, Arizona and has been teaching for more than 10 years. He has a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of North Dakota, and teaches using various methods, so you’re sure to find what works best for you. He even wrote two instructional books that he offers for free with the lessons.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

The first thing we do is chat for a few minutes and get to know each other. Then we talk about goals, do some playing and see where the student is at. I provide the student with a book and a starting point. I also keep in touch with the students between lessons.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

My ideal student is one that really has a desire to improve. There is no better feeling in the world than going to a venue and watching a student show off those skills.

My influences are mostly rock. But I enjoy and play country and pop as well. I'm a profession guitarist and have studied most genres.

Fee Schedule :

I have a set monthly rate and a very affordable hourly rate.

My cancellation/booking policy :

I would prefer at least a few days notice so I can fill the spot.
