My teaching approach :
Hello my friends! I've been TEACHING FOR OVER 20 YEARS! Although, I am not a clubbing musician, I had my fun playing original music in Colorado Springs, Colorado in a band called "Theory". While at the same time I was managing Colorado's largest music store retailers'. Quite often, I have been the one behind the scenes either teaching, recording, engineering, or running live sound. I started teaching when I was 18 years old, it just seemed I had an ability to make sense out the guitar. I understand after years of teaching what motivates and helps students get to their goals
A guitar lesson with me might entail the following
We will review what was the prior lesson material and work on particular areas that need improvement. We will then take on some new material and walk through it to make sure the student knows what is to be expected. The students' material will be printed and an MP3 will also be sent via email.
Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following
Since all student are different it's important to find out what motivates and inspires the individual student. We start with material that will be fun, challenging but not overreaching (common mistake beginner teachers make). To access students ability they will be required to play some of their own repetoire( another words they jam for me).
The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following
I have no expectations only the will to practice daily and have fun!
