My teaching approach :

I like to teach to the individual, I'm not going to teach jazz to someone who hates jazz, and if they want to learn metal then I'll teach them metal, I am proficient in many styles. I do like to teach theory and scales etc: I believe it is important for a student to be well rounded with scales as well as songs etc Note reading is up to the individual, I suggest it but I don't force it.
