My teaching approach :

The benefit of receiving one-on-one study is the opportunity to have focused, individualized instruction that is uniquely tailored to address the student’s needs. Here, the student can ask questions and receive instant feedback, continuously working together with the teacher. Many of my students participate in school and community settings while others perform regularly with various groups and projects, and continue to pursue their musical education, career, and passion.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

The lesson should be relaxed and comfortable, and of course fun!! Although each student/lesson varies considerably, we usually work on a song or technique and really focus on breaking it down to make it easier as well as effective practice methods. Students are often surprised at how quickly they get to play the songs/pieces they like to listen to.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

I like to get to know the student, their interests, perhaps the artists and groups they enjoy. We can also discuss their experience on the guitar and what the student is interested in learning.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

The ideal guitar student should be enthusiastic, a good listener, and of course, practice every day!!:)

Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:

Mon - Fri 2:30 PM - 9:30 PM (Currently, only a few openings available for Fall 2011)

Fee Schedule :

$35 for half hour lesson $65 for hour lesson Payments are accepted by cash or check; weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly

My cancellation/booking policy :

Cancellation Policy (24 hrs) Please cancel or request a make-up (if schedule permits) at least the day before your lesson is scheduled. Otherwise, you will still be required to pay the full amount of the lesson fee, with the exception of emergency situations. This policy will ensure mutual respect, courtesy and commitment as well as consideration for the teacher and other students.
