My teaching approach :

I am a friendly and patient teacher, with many years of experience with music therapy. I am a professional working guitarist with a rock/blues trio under my own name, and 2 Cd's as a leader. I have toured the UK and the US northeast with my own band. I have opened for Smokin' Joe Kubek and Commander Cody's Bill Kirchen. I am an endorser for Brian Moore Guitars and KJL amplifiers.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

First we would establish any musical knowledge you may already have, and then discuss what your goals are, and what music you enjoy most. I will then try to help you find the most comfortable and rewarding approach to success.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

I would ask the student to tell me about any playing experience they may have had, and any basic music classes they had in school. I would ask them to show me any chords, songs, etc. that they could play for me.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

I'm always happy to teach students who are enthusiastic and have a real joy in listening to and making music.

Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:

Monday through Wednesday, flexible evening hours. Friday and Saturday, flexible late morning and afternoon hours.

Fee Schedule :

$30/Half Hour $45/Hour

My cancellation/booking policy :

24 hour cancellation, please, or lesson must be paid. Lessons are paid on the day of lesson.
