My teaching approach :

I like to individualize my lessons for each students ability / speed of learning and their interests in music (styles of music, experience, etc.)

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

Each lesson usually lasts 30-45 min. I stress technique or agility exercises to strenthen fingers from the very beginning. I like for students to learn note reading (at least a little) but it is not required. We also will work on songs (pop, country, classical, etc. ) to round out their musical experience.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

Intro to the guitar - parts of the guitar, holding the guitar, tuning. Proper way to press strings, finger exercises (single) . "Easy" chords depending on ability.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

Some one who is committed to learning all they can about guitar... and will put in time to practice.

Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:

Mon 9am - 9pm, Tues 9am - 9pm , Wed 9am- 5pm, Thu 9am -9pm, Fri 9am -9pm

My influences range from Classical guitar to Old time / bluegrass (Doc Watson) Country , Country Rock (Eagles) "Soft" Rock /Folk (Dylan, James Taylor)

Fee Schedule :

$12 per lesson (30 - 45 min) , $48 / month,

My cancellation/booking policy :

If you can give me enough notice (24 hrs.) I can try to reschedule. But if you are scheduled and don't come or call (to make arrangements) then you forfeit that $. If I have to reschedule of course then I will or will carry your payment over.
