My teaching approach :

My method of teaching focuses on: developing technique through practical exercises, developing an understanding of music theory and applying that in improvisation and composition, as well as learning to play your favorite songs which is always a lot of fun. I was formally trained in classical guitar and music theory for 4 years in college. I am patient, relaxed, & love teaching music.

Fee Schedule :

I charge $35 per hour. But for every 10 hours of lessons I offer an 11th hour free! These prices are for lessons taking place at my house in Haiku. If I have to travel to meet a student I will have to charge a little more depending on gas costs and travel time.

My cancellation/booking policy :

I appreciate notification of cancellations a day in advance, but a few hours in advance is acceptable. If a particular student commits more than one "no call, no show" then I will start asking for lesson payments in advance, otherwise you can just pay as you go. If I have to miss or reschedule a lesson, I will notify a student as soon as possible, but definitely at least 24 hrs. in advance.
