My teaching approach :

I develop a strategy for each student to reach his or her specific goals as a musician. I have been playing since early 1992, and am currently recording/performing with my band, Todesbonden, signed to Prophecy Productions (Germany). I pass on my years of knowledge and experience to my students who wish to launch their own music careers. As a teacher, I am concerned with helping my students get the results they desire - not with following every step in a pre-determined process. You want to PLAY the guitar, and I want to get you there as quickly and directly as possible.

If you have never met with me before, it would consist of meeting with me for a FREE 30-minute Evaluation session, where we can both discuss what you want to be able to do on the guitar and see if we are a good match for each other, and where I can see what the best method is for helping you reach your goals.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

I will assess your abilities and knowledge using a variety of methods. Most students actually know more than they realize they do; many beginning guitarists pick up a lot of skills and knowledge early on, but fail to remember the name of what they are doing. I will find your strengths, and those will be the foundation of your playing.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

My ideal student is one who: a.) is serious about guitar playing b.) wants to become as good as possible on the guitar and is willing to work for results c.) follows my guidance on how to make your practicing as efficient and effective as possible

I offer several different lesson packages using varying teaching formats, depending on the student's interests, needs & goals, with each having a different pricing structure. My cancellation/booking policy :

Payment is due at the time of booking to reserve a time slot. I do not offer make-up lessons for absences, as my allocated time for teaching does not necessarily change. However, as musical development is an ongoing process, if you need to cancel, lesson materials will be sent to you in another format (audio, video, tablature, documents, etc) so that your musical development is not stifled.
