My teaching approach :

I have two golden rules for teaching. First is to the furthest extent possible, I use music YOU like. I can teach you all you need to know by playing whatever music you love the most. The main thing is to get you playing and having fun. Second I am all about understanding and practical use. I will never teach you a scale or a chord etc, without telling you what it is good for and how to use it. I only use top of the line boutique amps, effects and guitars.

Every student is different so every lesson is different. I start with figuring out where the student is at playing-wise and then we take it from there :)

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

I will ask you to play a number of things, chords, scales and by doing that, I can assess where your skill level is at and start working on material that will challenge you but not be too hard.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

Anything I have ever heard and liked. From classical music to metal to country to video games. The list goes on and on :) I can teach you how to play like any of the huge guitar players because I've been through most of them :)

Fee Schedule :

At my place: $30/30 minutes, $40/45 minutes, $50/hour At your place: $40/40minues, $50/45minutes, $60/hour

My cancellation/booking policy :

If you take lessons at my studio, 1 hour notice or pay in full If you take lesssons at your place, 2 hours notice or pay in full (LA traffic you know). Unless there has been an emergency, at which of course, I am understanding. We're all people, right?
