My teaching approach :

My approach varies depending on the student's skills and desires. I measure where the current boundaries are and offer the tools to break free to a new level of playing. I encourage each student to express their individualism and to learn from the greats who came before. I use various electronic tools and software to help achieve a good overall understanding of music and navigating the fretboard.

I am influenced by David Gilmour, Jimi Hendrix, Lindsey Buckingham, Jimmy Page, Steve Howe, Stevie Ray, Pete Townshend, Alex Lifeson, as well as great songwriters like Stevie Wonder, Lennon and McCartney, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Neil Young, Bob Marley, Peter Gabriel, Freddie Mercury, Bill Withers, Elvis Costello, LV Beethoven, JS Bach, Frederic Chopin, Igor Stravinsky and of course Thelonious Monk

Fee Schedule :

I charge $55/hour unless I have to drive more than 10 miles, then $5-$10 more depending on location. I don't usually travel too far, but we can work something out I'm sure!

My cancellation/booking policy :

24 hours notice of cancellation is no charge. Less than 24 hours, full pop, $55.
