Our world-class guitar teachers, accomplished concert artists in many styles, combine their performance experience with a profound gift for teaching, guiding our students to reach their untapped potential, creating in each student his or her unique style through one-on-one instruction. Our guitar instructors have a combined teaching experience of more than forty years.

Our guitar teachers combine traditional methods with a unique approach to guitar instruction which uses rote kinesthetic and reverse rote kinesthetic methods to engage students with varied learning styles. Teachers build on students' strengths, engaging the student in the learning process by fostering curiosity and creativity.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

The first time one of our teachers meets a new guitar student, the meeting will be for a combined length of 1-1/2 hours. This includes the student's first free lesson, a 1/2-hour long period in which the will assess the student's level of playing, teach him/her a few drills, warmups, and technical basics, then discuss the student's goals and his lesson plan. During the next hour, he will begin his in-depth focus on your technique and musical skil

Our ideal guitar student is someone who is passionate about music and wants to learn to play the guitar.

We have guitar available during weekdays: late mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Guitar lessons generally begin after 11:00 a.m. and end before 8:00 p.m., Pacific Time, but occasional private webcam guitar lessons on Skype are available outside of that time window.

My influences are:

Our classical guitar lessons blend the best of the traditional: Sor, Tarrega, Aguado, and Segovia, with the influence of modern masters: David Russell, John Williams, Julian Bream, Pepe Romero, James Smith, and Scott Tennant, as well as Flamenco guitar virtuosos,Paco de Lucia and Paco Pena. Our rock and jazz instructors are experienced touring musicians with major artists such as Jackson Browne.

Fee Schedule :

Regularly-scheduled: Schedule A: Weekly one-hour private guitar lessons with the LAGA Faculty. Price: $80.00/hour--$320.00 /mo. Schedule B: Weekly two-hour private guitar lessons with the LAGA Faculty. Price: $70.00/hour--$560.00/mo. Schedule C: Weekly three-hour private guitar lessons with the LAGA Faculty. Price: $60.00/hour--$720.00/mo. Packages w/Flexible Scheduling Available on Site.

My cancellation/booking policy :

Lessons must be booked 24 hours in advance. Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to the lesson. Make-up lessons must be scheduled on one of the make-up days available for that month, and may be given through the online platform or in person based on availability.
