As a highly sought after guitar instructor, Christopher has taught and performed master classes at such locations as Adirondack County Community College, Blue Sky Studios (Delmar, NY), Mars Music of Albany, Burnt Hills Music Academy, and The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. His private students have performed in master classes with artists such as Thomas Viloteau, and have been to accepted to such institutions as Schenectady County Community College and Florida State University, as well as participating in competitions including The Guitar Foundation of America Competition and the Ithaca

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

Guitar lessons are very personal, as every student is different and has different goals. I like to begin each lesson with a review of the previous weeks lesson, then ask how practicing went between lessons. I address any questions the student may have, then we will work on any material that was assigned (technique, repertoire, etc.) I always make sure to assign listen/viewing projects for my students to do to enhance their knowledge of the guitar

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

With complete beginners I like to introduce them to their guitar, with the names of the strings and parts of the guitar. I will provide the student with some simple exercises, and of course a piece of music that is age appropriate for them. Every student will learn to play a 'riff' or melody by the end of their first lesson! For experienced students, I have them play a few pieces of music to assess their technical/musical abilities.

My ideal student is one that loves music and the guitar, has an immense thirst for knowledge, and is dedicated to being musical and having fun!

I typically teach Monday-Friday 10am-11pm. Saturday lesson are available by special request yet my fee is higher for Saturday lessons.

My influences are:

Julian Bream, Paco de Lucia, Manuel Barrueco, Pepe Romero, Tomatito, Vicente Amigo. And of course, my students are my greatest source of inspiration.

Fee Schedule :

Typically my students pay on a week by week basis, although student can pay for a month at a time.

My cancellation/booking policy :

I hold a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. I allow 3 make-up lessons per year, and are up to my discretion. Once a day/time is decided upon between myself and the client, it is their time for as long as they like it, rescheduling for lesson must be done a week in advance.
