My teaching approach :

I have been teaching for 40 years. I use several different methods depending on the needs of the student. I also teach piano and voice in my studio. I majored in music education and have a BA from Ohio Northen University.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

I go over the previous assigned material. We do corrections and I make suggestions. I like my students to learn at least one new thing each lesson. Then I make new assignments.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

I like to get a feel of what they desire to get from their lessons. I like to find out what their background is. I teach 5-6 chords. I explain what my goals for them are.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

One who listens to my instructions and applies them to his/her practice sessions. One who practices daily.

Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:

Monday through Friday between 3:30-9:00 PM

Fee Schedule :

I charge $20 per half hour lesson due monthly at the beginning of the month or weekly at the lesson.

My cancellation/booking policy :

I require 24 hour notice for cancellations or payment is required. Exceptions are illness, death in the family.
