My teaching approach :

The SDML system is based on a structured and logical approach designed to get you playing guitar as quickly as possible. The focus is to build on the unique strengths of the individual student, and customize the lessons based on his or her needs, goals, and ambitions. As a general rule, I only teach material if I can explain exactly why the student needs to learn it - no extraneous or unnecessary information. Everything you learn is built from something you already know, creating logical paths from one concept to the next. There are no books to buy; materials are included in the fee.

I don't believe that a teacher's personal influences should have a whole lot to do with his or her teaching style. But just to play nice, I'm a big fan of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Mike McCready... I like blues and rock.

Fee Schedule :

Private lessons are $75 per month, and lessons are taught for 30 minutes, once per week. On months where your day of the week occurs five times, the fifth lesson is a free, optional bonus, no extra charge. It can be used for a make-up date, additional instruction, or just a day off if you like.

My cancellation/booking policy :

Payments are due on the last lesson of the previous month; once this is paid, you are added to the schedule and your attendance is up to you. I'll be there either way.
