My teaching approach :

I strive for a healthy mix of students goals/what they want to learn with a good dosage of guitar fretboard knowledge, finger gymnastics and music theory.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

Tune up, run through any given material from previous lesson. Next, I either expand on that material or move onto the next thing. In the beginning stages I try to use real songs from artists the student is interested in as a basis for new concepts.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

I try to get to know the student and find out what they want from guitar. If they play a little, I try to jam with them over a very basic chord progression. If they are a total beginner, basic chords and guitar anatomy is covered.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

Has a clear idea of what they want to do with guitar. Whether they want to be the next Stevie Ray or just be able to entertain their family during holidays, I want to teach them how.

Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:

M-Tr 6pm to 11pm Weekends I am more available, as necessary.

Fee Schedule :

Monthly payment is $65 for a lesson per week. Lessons are $20 a piece for pay as you go.

My cancellation/booking policy :

I need 24 hours in advance of a cancellation and the lesson can be scheduled for another time. If 24hrs notice is not given, the lesson will be charged and a makeup is not scheduled.
