My teaching approach :

For over 30 years I've toured the world with my own style of fingerpicking and bottleneck slide acoustic blues and roots guitar, played on acoustic steel string and National resophonic guitars. Delta Blues, the Deepest Gospel, Ragtime, Trance-Inducing Mississippi Hill Country Blues, Old Time Country, Early Jazz, Island Music and more. Play bass, melody, harmony and rhythm, sound like a whole band!

Fee Schedule :

For a one-on-one, hands-on two hour intensive lesson, the cost is $150. Students are encouraged to audiotape their lessons. Private hourly rate is $80. I also do hands-on guitar workshops in small groups as well as lecture/demonstrations and blues in the schools assemblies. Mostly, I'm a concert artist, but love to teach, spread the word and bring new life to this great American music tradition.
