My teaching approach :

Put simply, I have been playing guitar for 47 years. I have played and recorded with the greats and not-so-greats. I continue to play these days doing solo acoustic, an acoustic blues duo, two rock/blues bands and a full blown electric Praise & Worship band. Throughout my career, I have found one thing to be universally important in both playing and teaching: YOU MUST HAVE FUN or it is a repetition of work and/or school.I try to teach in the musical style that will enable the student to have the fun that music can provide and get the satisfaction of being able to play music that they enjoy.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

One who has a heart for the music and instrument. If you can play from the heart, you don't need to know a half-note from a time signature!

Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:

Tuesdays thru Fridays 10:30 thru 6. Sat. 11 thru 1. In addition I coach vocal instruction, either accompanied by a guitar lesson or as a stand-alone lesson.

Fee Schedule :

Lessons are 1 on 1. $25.00 per each half hour lesson.

My cancellation/booking policy :

I like students to pay one month in advance. There is a 2 day cancellation policy (except in case of emergency). If a lesson is not cancelled prior to 48 hours, there is a $15.00 cancelled lesson fee.
