My teaching approach :

I believe in teaching students from where they are to where they want to be! I especially like to work with beginners or those who have tried and failed to learn on their own. I typically use a method book so that you can learn strumming and chording skills while you learn the music theory behind the guitar. You will be reading music and playing simple melodies in the first week!

I specialize in traditional and historic folk and classical guitar. My guitar style is a hybrid fingerstyle, reminiscent of Maybelle Carter on some days and John Denver on other days! I've been told I remind people of Joan Baez, Anne Murray, and occasionally I break out in Indigo Girls!

Fee Schedule :

$20 for half hour $30 for an hour--->best deal Although a weekly lesson is ideal, I can work with you every 10 days or 2 weeks. This is sometimes easier for folks to manage financially. Depending on your location, I will charge a bit extra for traveling to you--typically $5 for every 30 mile increment. This is subject to change depending on gas prices.

My cancellation/booking policy :

If students cancel in advance, I don't usually penalize them, but if you are a simply no-show for your lesson, I will charge you a $10 missed lesson fee.
