My teaching approach :

Laid back approach, you will learn as much as you want to. I play a Martin acoustic and an Epiphone Electric. I have played for over 10 years, as well as taking classes in Music Theory, History, and Composition at the College of William and Mary.

Begin with a handout explaining the theoretical basis for the day's lesson. Move on to practical explanation and application.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

Explain tuning, chord charts. I might ask them to play me whatever they had been working on previously, if this applies.
