I have been playing, performing, and recording the guitar for 20 years in a variety of styles of music including rock, pop, electronic, blues, and praise & worship. My aim is to make learning the guitar fun by relating lessons to the students' interests in music. Students gain the skills to learn their favorite songs by ear and to create their own music.
A guitar lesson with me might entail the following
For children, the lessons are more structured and based out a guitar method book. I also incorporate examples from a variety of music to give real world examples. For adults, the lessons are usually not based on a specific book. There will be more flexibilty in learning specific songs or styles.
Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following
