My teaching approach :

Dave has been in several bands, both original and cover, and currently is the guitarist for local cover band, SWAGG. www.swagglive.com His teaching philosphy is simple: Do what you love! Rocker? Grab that electric! Singer/songwriter? Pick up the acoustic. Dave's vast repertoire allows him to use the students' favorites to teach techniques. Music reading and/or tablature can be taught, based on the student's needs. Theory is an important part of music, and even when you think you don't want to learn theory, Dave "sneaks' it in there to help make it as painless as possible!

Alex Lifeson, Keith Richards, Junior Brown, Chet Atkins, Geddy Lee, and Steve Harris, to name a few...there have been several influences on my playing that cross-over into other styles as well, which has helped to make me a well-rounded player/teacher.
