My teaching approach :

In nearly 30 years of learning guitar, I have tried to learn something from a wide variety of players and styles and I encourage my students to do the same. Everyone has an opinion of what "sounds good" to them, so if the students are learning music they enjoy, they are more likely to stay interested and practice.

Fee Schedule :

I charge $15 per half hour lesson or $25 per hour lesson. Obviously, this encourages a longer lesson, and I believe a lot more can be accomplished in an hour versus a half hour. In addition to the regular fee, I charge 50 cents per mile to travel to students' homes. For example, if a student lives 5 miles away (10 miles round trip), there would be an additional $5 charge per lesson.

My cancellation/booking policy :

Cancellations should be made as soon as the student knows he or she will not be able to be there. If I show up at a student's home for a lesson and they have not notified me, they will be charged the mileage fee described above (50 cents per mile).
