My teaching approach :

I offer an in depth look behind the techniques used and why. In conjunction with the physical form of the human body, certain techniques are the only logical approach when really looking at and considering the physics involved. Also, I engage my students into training the mind to analyze and comprehend the theory used in the composition of songs in order to recognize the creativity and strategies used in the structure and relationships between the notes, harmonies, and forms. This is the difference between just performing, and an over all understanding of the art of being musician.

My influences are:

Kevin M Mcclain started studying, composing and playing music at the age of eight. Starting out, Kevin was playing classic rock, hardrock, and metal.. As a teenager Mr. McClain developed an acute sense of improvisation playing in highly experimental jam-bands. Durring high school and college Kevin became highly focused on Classical Piano, Classical Guitar, Theory, and Composition, and Jazz.

Fee Schedule :

RATES:$15.00/30min. (discounts and house calls do not apply to 1/2hr sessions.)$30.00/hr DISCOUNTS:-10% discount for all Students whos referral of another student results in a newly, contracted student. HOUSE CALLS:There is a $0.50/mi service charge, (one-way), that is added to the total cost of the lesson and is applied after all charges and discounts.

My cancellation/booking policy :

All prepaid lessons must be rescheduled within the same week of the originaly scheduled lesson, schedule prmitting. All prepaid lessons that are canceled and are not made up with in the same week, the cost fo that lesson can not be refunded and the pay schedule will resume as scheduled.
