My teaching approach :

I teach students how to properly play their instrument,not just how to play a certain song. In my opinion, this makes for a much more well rounded musician, and a greater understanding and appreciation for music in general.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

My style of teaching begins with proper finger placement, making sure that the student understands his/her instrument in all aspects of playing. Proper care and maintenance of the instrument is also very important.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

In the first lesson, I like to find out what experience the student may already have such as keeping rythym, chords that he/she may already know, and what particular style the student may want to learn.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

Patient, very patient. It takes a lot more work and practice to properly learn the guitar than most people realize.

Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:

Mon. - Fri. 5pm - 9pm I may be able to schedule other times as well.

My influences are:

Geddy Lee, Les Claypool, Stu Hamm just to name a couple, and of course, the man who taught me some years ago, Mic Stankiewicz

Fee Schedule :

$15/half hr., $25/full hr. Payment due at the beginning of each lesson

My cancellation/booking policy :

when a schedule is set it will be the same day/time each week, unless you want more than one lesson per week of course (which is more than welcome). A cancellation must be made within 24 hrs. or you will be charged for the lesson.
