My teaching approach :

I lead students in the areas they choose, including cords, scales, improvising and theory, focusing on song performance. I've performed in clubs to concerts for 30 years in blues, rock, r&b, funk and jazz fusion bands. I am a Berklee Grad. I record with MOTU DP7 and use Native Instruments Guitar Rig 4 and other software. When students reach a level of proficiency, I produce demos of/for them.

My influences are:

My influences are wide, from Bloomfield, Beck, Hendrix, SRV and Clapton, to Carlton, Ford, and Ritenour, to Satriani, Vai, and Johnson to Keaggy and Keb Mo, with a slight detour through Van Halen and Metallica, and a vacation every other leap year with Segovia. I ALSO TEACH FINGER STYLE...folk etc.

Fee Schedule :

I charge $25 for 1/2 hr, $45 for 1 hr and give 15% discount for blocks of 4 paid in advance. I've occasionally travelled to students for an additional (modest) travel fee, but prefer to teach in my studio.

My cancellation/booking policy :

Lessons can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice.
