My teaching approach :

As I was, back in the '70s, a student of Albert Valdes Blain, the maestro at Mannes College in NYC, and who was a first generation protege of Andres Segovia, my approach reflects this "Spanish Romantic" style, stressing the development of a technique that supports the full range of tonal dynamics and articulated phrasing. Scales, ligado exercises and select etudes comprise the core curriculum.

Fee Schedule :

I teach by the session, not the hour, which is typically close to 2 hours. With all the technical material and pieces, this much time is necessary if one is to really practice in lesson. My students progress consistently because of this. A session is $60.00 .

My cancellation/booking policy :

Students take on a weekly basis. One may cancel a full 24 hours before lesson. Frequent cancellations are respectfully discussed and handled.
