My teaching approach :

I give my students tools that they can implement within 1 lesson. I teach very practically and fun. I will help you learn your favorite song if you would like, and teach you how to write songs if that is your interest. I have played guitar (by ear) for 22 years, and been writing songs for 18 years.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

I start out by having them show me what they've been working on throughout the week, and then build on that. I will teach you songs of your choice, working with a metronome, hand strengthening exercises, chords, etc.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

Depending on their level, I teach them the names of the strings, and the show them the different parts of the guitar. I will have them show me what they know, so that I have a better idea of where to go from there. Email me for student reviews.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

beginner student, child or adult who is eager to learn, and taking lessons by CHOICE.

Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:

Afternoons, Mon.-Friday All day Sat.

Fee Schedule :

$25 per half hour, $40 per hour (for paypal, add 3%) I suggest that children choose the shorter lesson.

My cancellation/booking policy :

I collect payment one month in advance after an initial paid lesson if you choose. If you cancel a lesson with less than 24 hours notice, or are a no show, you will forfeit that lesson.
