I feel fortunate to do something for a living that I truly enjoy: teaching people how to play guitar and music the way they always imagined possible. I will work with any student of any level of experience who is willing to make a serious commitment to learning guitar. I explore all genres of music with my students.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

The primary guide to how I shape guitar lessons is the students' musical goals and favorite artists and songs. I find it helps to approach each student as a complete person and not just a guitar student. This way, students tend to feel more comfortable discussing and working towards their goals. I teach students how to learn music organically, spontaneously and creatively, more by ear than by notation.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

I like to get to know the student a little bit and establish a comfortable, relaxed environment. If a student has any playing experience, I ask them to play anything they're familiar with.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

My ideal guitar student loves music and has a serious desire to learn guitar or improve at guitar, and respects our time together and the process of learning.

Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:

Generally speaking I teach 7 days a week, the earliest time slot being 9am, the latest ending 10pm.

Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Duane Allman, Dickie Betts, Doc Watson, Muddy Waters, Joel Newton, Jimmy Page, Adrian Smith, Bonnie Raitt and many others.

Fee Schedule :

$40 for 30 minutes; $50 for 45 minutes; $60 for 1 hour; $85 for 1.5 hours

My cancellation/booking policy :

Students are financially responsible for lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice
