My teaching approach :

I lay everything out for the student. I show them what they can get out of lessons and how much they can learn. Then over time, I go in depth about each part and explain it thoroughly so they can repeat like a second language.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following

Depending on your wants and needs, I can tailor the lesson to be however you want. If you want to learn songs, I can help you. If you want to learn scales/chords I can do that too. Just about anything you need to start playing and getting proficient at the guitar, I can help you with.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following

I'll ask them how long they have been playing, what they are wanting to achieve. I'll ask them if they know basic chords/scales and look to see if they have proper technique. Depending on how comfortable they are with materials that I give them is how I assess ability.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following

A student that has aspirations to become a better guitarist and enjoys what they do. Students that will let me help them by practicing and being involved with what we are doing is what I look for the most. If it's not enjoyable for the student it's usually not enjoyable for me.

Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:

Any day of the week after 4pm. Both half an hour and hour long lessons.

Robby Baca, Paul Gilbert, Armik, Eric Clapton, Eric Johnson, A.J. Minette, John Petrucci.

Fee Schedule :

$10 for half an hour. $20 for an hour.

My cancellation/booking policy :

Lessons/cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance. I'm pretty flexible otherwise.
