My teaching approach :

I teach the student how to BE as bass player. S/He learns the role of a bass player. Lots of attention is paid to rhythm, grooves, steady tempo, jamming, and following chord charts to create a bass line. I encourage improvisation of bass lines using a chord chart as a guide.

Fee Schedule :

I charge $30/hr. However, if the student comes to my studio, then I offer a half-hour rate of $17.50/30 min. If I must travel to the student's home (most common), then it is a 1 hr minimum. Fees are paid weekly or monthly. I take check, cash, or paypal. Also, there will be a fee of $40 for any returned checks.

My cancellation/booking policy :

I'm generally pretty flexible, but if you are a no-show, I will charge a 1/2 price fee for my wasted time. I need to have a 24 hour (or more!) notice of cancellation so I can adjust my schedule accordingly. I do encourage re-scheduling for later in the week.
