My teaching approach :

Having completed classical guitar college studies, I teach students correct, formal fingerstyle methodologies which can be applied to both nylon & steel-string guitars so that good playing habits ensue. Students study short pieces suitable for public performance and recitals. I specialize in teaching the styles of Chet Atkins fingerstyle guitar and the Gypsy Jazz of Django Reinhardt.

We begin with learning how to correctly hold a guitar and how to accurately execute a simple chromatic and diatonic scale pattern up and down the guitar neck.

Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:

I teach teens and younger on weekday evenings and on Saturdays with the parent(s) present during each and every lesson. Mom or Dad can come and sit in the adjoining sun room during the lesson time. I offer more flexible times for adult students.

Fee Schedule :

Lessons are $100.00/month (one hour. private lesson per week with usually 4 lessons within the given month, and "Reduced Rate for groups"! Free meet n greet enrollment and up front payment for lessons is to be scheduled by phone (770) 377-1980 or by email request for a 3 pm to 5 pm. interview held on Sunday afternoons. Yearly public recitals in October and June are encouraged.

My cancellation/booking policy :

Mountaintop Guitar in Snellville, GA allows for one missed lesson with free makeup lesson to be taken within the same month. I do not expect my students to come to class if very severe weather threatens. In such cases call me and and we will reschedule a better time. Interview times are held on Sunday afternoons from 3 pm to 5 pm. Have fun, and start today!
