A guitar lesson with me might entail the following
We usually go over the previous week's assignment to check on progress. I offer suggestions on technique, and answer any questions. I then suggest exercises or songs to practice for the next week, and we go over anything that is new.
Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following
There is no charge for the first lesson. I will assess the student's current skill level, and general music knowledge. We then may talk about how to pick out the right guitar, if the student doesn't have one yet. We also discuss the student's goals, my teaching styles/options, and a plan for reaching the goals of the student.
The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following
A teacher always loves students who are enthusiastic about their instrument and learning, but I have taught students with varying degrees of interest and practice habits. I enjoy teaching guitar to anyone who is interested. I have yet to find a student who wasn't able to learn to play.
Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours:
I teach Monday - Friday.
My influences are:
I am all about he song. Well written songs and performances from past and current artists are my main influences. There are too many individuals and bands to mention in this space. Currently, one of my favorite rock guitar players is John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Fee Schedule :
Rates: $30 per 1/2 hour lesson (First Lesson Free!). Lessons are prepaid 1 month in advance.
My cancellation/booking policy :
Lessons are weekly, booked by the month, and paid according to the prorated schedule for the month. I don't charge for weeks when a student is on vacation or has a prearranged conflict. I always try to reschedule cancelled lessons, but it will be up to the student to work within my schedule. The student will forfeit the lesson if we are unable to find a time within the next week.

Cash, Checks
