I am a classically trained musician with a BA in music/classical guitar.

My teaching follows two different methodologies. The first methodology is designed for the parent-and-child together. Through many years of teaching I have discovered that the best way to teach a child is to teach the parent also. When a parent is intimately involved, my teaching is "supported" by the relationship between the parent and the child. This situation creates a perfect storm of music instruction! There is a pedagogy of incredible architecture which nothing can bring down. Essentially; everybody keeps everybody honest =^_^=. I teach my students (and their parents) duets and other pieces for "piano-four-hands" which are then played in recitals. The second avenue of instruction which is open to you is essentially world-class instruction. If you will allow me, I can take a mediocre musician and make him/her into a musically self-aware creative mind. I do this through the etudes & duets I write, the integrity I maintain in my lessons and through the desire to practice I instill in my students. With your help, I can make you into something truly great. Actually great. Concerts and recitals are vitally important to both my teaching methods. Sadly, I do not own an amphitheater, but I find that intimate recitals for neighbors, family and friends which are held in your home or at your church (or other venue) are always very successful. In-home music instruction is possible, however you must be located not too far from Louisiana & Central Avenue. Please inquire as to whether or not I can give lessons in your home! To assess the students abilities in the 1st lesson I like to get started on an etude (a study piece). I have written many etudes for many students, and I'm always happy to write more.

My ideal guitar or piano student is one who practices and does so in the way that I ask. I always require that my students love music deeply, that's about it!

I can teach almost any time, but the best time is one that we come up with together.

Weekly schedule: $30 per hour at my location. $35-to-65 per hour at your location location (we will discuss the exact rate). The 1st two lessons may be paid per lesson, after the 1st three I require payment by the month.

As regards cancelling lessons; I hope that we can be fair, flexible and honest with each other =^_^=.
